Frequently asked questions.

How do I schedule an appointment?

The best way to schedule an appointment is to call our office at (843)-215-2400 opt. 4. We ask that you leave a message detailing your name, date of birth, insurance information, as well as a brief description of why you are seeking psychiatric treatment. While availability will vary by provider, we check these messages daily and will call you back in the order they were received.

What is the fee for appointments?

Without insurance, an initial evaluation is $275-$305, and follow-up appointments are $150-$185.

How can I speak to a person when I call your office?

We use a voicemail phone system to serve our patients more efficiently. Due to our high volume of calls, we do not have a direct line that we answer immediately. The most effective way to reach us is to leave a message on the appropriate line (1- Prescription Refills, 2- Counselors, 4- Appointments, 5- Questions for the Doctor, 6- Billing & Insurance, 7- Medical Records). We check these messages around the clock and will return your call as soon as possible.

How should I cancel or reschedule an appointment?

To cancel or reschedule an appointment just call our office at (843)-215-2400 opt. 4, then we will call you back to reschedule. Appointments must be cancelled within 24-hour notice. Without 24-hour notice, you will be charged the full price of that appointment. Insurance does NOT pay for missed appointments.

Do you offer virtual appointments?

Yes! Our initial evaluations are always conducted in person. However, we do offer a virtual option for follow-up appointments if your provider sees fit. Our providers use a variety of HIPAA compliant platforms. You will receive information on how to participate in your virtual appointment when it is scheduled.

Should I bring anything to my initial evaluation?

Yes! We ask that you bring the following:

  • Photo ID

  • Insurance cards

  • Up-to-date Medication list

  • Complete new patient paperwork

  • Any previous psychiatric records you may have

How do I get my prescription refilled?

You may request a prescription refill by calling our prescription hotline, which is (843)-215-2400 opt. 1. This is a guided voicemail system made for quick refill requests. Always make sure to call your pharmacy before leaving your refill requests, as our providers write enough medication until your next follow-up appointment.

Your refill may not be processed if you do not have your next appointment scheduled.
